Elsje Vreeland+ baptized 12 Nov 1671, d. a 1722

Elsie Vreeland (daughter of Enoch M. Vreeland and Dircksje F. Meyers) was born November 12, 1671 in Germonepa, Bergen Co. New Jersey. She married Edward Earle, Jr. on February 13, 1687/88 in Gemonepa Bergen, Bergen County, New Jersey, America, son of Edward Earle, Sr. and Hannah Baylis.

Her father & mother were early New Netherland immigrants:

"Michael Jansen (Vreeland) was born 1610 and came from Scrabbeck, Netherlands in the ship 'Arms of Norway'. He arrived in Manhattan 4 Aug 1638 with his wife Fitje (Sophie) Harrtman, 1 son Claas (Nicholas) and 2 servants. He first settled in Greenbush, opposite Albany ( then Fort Orange) where he engaged in the fur trade. In 1646 he moved to Manhattan. He was one of Peter Stuyvesant's "Nine Men"."
