Good to hear from you. I think we are looking at Omer Welcome Clements as the husband of Grace Richardson.

Omer b. Oct 1884 does appear in the 1900 census of William and Sarah Clements in Hendricks County, Indiana.

The Indiana Marriage Collection, 1800-1941, shows that an Omer W. Clements married Esther Brickert on 19 May 1909 in Hendricks County, Indiana (Bk 13, pg 417).

Omer, age 25, and Ester Clements with daughter Geraldine were in the 1910 census of Lebanon City, Center Township, Boone County, Indiana. Omer said he had been married 11 months and that he was employed as a printer. Daughter Geraldine was two months old.

Omer registered for the WWI draft on 12 Sep 1918 in Champaign, Champaign County, Illinois at which time he said he was born on October 22, 1884 and was a printer. He named Esther B. Clements as his nearest relative but did not identify Esther's relationship to him. His address and Esther's were the same.

Omer is then listed in the 1920 Census of Champaign, Champaign County, Illinois as a roomer and a widower in the household of Henry Dust (sp ?) at family #148 where Omer is a printer and owns his own shop. Daughter Geraldine Clements, age 9, is a roomer in the household of Henry Stibb (Stiss ?) at family #135.

Meanwhile, in 1920, Grace Richardson and her older sister Elsie were roomers in the household of Rose Rock (looks like a boarding house) and were working as waitresses in Champaign, Illinois in 1920. Grace is shown as age 23 and single, Elsie is shown as age 27 and divorced..

Then we see O.W. and Grace Clements in the 1930 census of Elgin, Elgin Township, Kane County, Illinois where O.W. , age 45, is an auto painter in a paint shop. They have a son, Billy, age 8, and apparently have been married 9 or 10 years.

Omer Welcome Clements is listed in the Social Security Death Index with birth date 21 Oct 1884 death in Aug 1963, Social Security Card issued in Illinois.
