Born in Szombathely, Vas, Hungary and lived there in her early life, except for visits to her mother's Wurmfeld family in Graz (as indicated in the Graz Meldebuch) and possibly her father's family in Malcice. Lived in Graz at least from 1915-1917 during World War I and then from at least 1922 (she also attended finishing school in Graz) until she married in Budapest 1930/6/5 and moved with her husband Mano Schoenbrun to the United States, where she resided briefly in Seminole, Oklahoma, and then in Tyler, Texas. She ran the New York Store in Tyler, Texas.

Resided in Graz after 1923, continuing to care for her cousin Alfred Blüh until about 1925 and owned and ran the fish market, Wurmfeld Alexander, at least from 1927 when she inherited it from her uncle, until she married in 1930. She may have run the fish market prior to the death of Alexander Wurmfeld, since he had suffered from kidney disease before his death. She lived in the apartment above the fish market 1927-1930 at Neutorgasse 16 and possibly earlier.
