About Emanuel J. Wengerd
Emanuel J. Wengerd 86, of Millersburg, passed away at the Sycamore Run Nursing Home on Monday, January 10, 2022, after a lengthy illness.
He was born on July 3, 1935 to the late Joseph M. and Lovina (Troyer) Wengerd. On October 16, 1956, he married Edna Schlabach who survives. Emanuel was a trucker and mechanic for many years and enjoyed tinkering with motors.
He is survived by his three children Paul (Rhoda) Wengerd of Benton, Wayne (Glenda) Wengerd of Benton, and Ruby (Joel) Troyer of Millersburg; his 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; his brother-in-law Obed (late Verna) Troyer of Holmesville; and his sisters-in-law Betty (late Alvin) Wengerd of Fredericksburg and Nettie (late David) Wengerd of Fredericksburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Alvin Wengerd and David Wengerd; and his sister Verna Troyer.
Funeral services will be held at the Cornerstone Mennonite Assembly, 6834 Co Rd 672, Millersburg, on Thursday, January 13, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Joel Troyer officiating. Burial will follow in the Berlin Community Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cornerstone Mennonite Assembly on Wednesday from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m.
