Uncle Emery for 32 years. As a pioneer he has been a law giver, a great student and teacher in the community. There is not one act of his but had reflected credit to him. His life has been an inspiration to those about him. Bp. Brown spoke of his appreciation for the good instructions he gave to the young folks and his help and cooperation in the ward. The opening prayer was offered by Willard Brown and A. R. Kennington pronounced the closing prayer and the grave was dedicated by Clarence Erickson. Interment was made in the Fairview cemetery beside his beloved wife. The flowers which were profused and beautiful spoke the love and esteem in which he was held. They were carried by his granddaughters, Mable Millward, Virginia, Mary Cecil, Audra, Margaret, Nauna, Wilda, Carrene Barrus and Nadine Allred. Pall bearers were: Milton, Orlo, Foster, Sandy and gene Barrus and A.J. Balls. Relatives from outside the valley who attended the funeral were : Mr and Mrs. Orlo Barrus, son Dean and two daughter, Virginia and Mary Cecil, Mr and Mrs foster Barrus form Tooele, Utah, Aldo Barrus and three sons, Calvin and Lamar from sugar City Idaho and Alton from Kemmerer. Mrs Mable Tolman Wheat from Irwin Idaho, Mr and Mrs Orlando Barrus from Logan, Mr and Mrs. Richard Millward from Kemmerer, Mrs. Maggie Tolman of Salem, Utah and Mrs. Wilford Tolman of Corona, California. The following lines were written by sister Annie Hood and read by Harold T. Allen: His life's mission is ended Held in high regard by those who knew him best unassuming: Wise in council; studious; True to his convictions; exemplary; Blessed by the love of little children Patient in suffering: Unwavering faith in his Creator; Full of charity; honorable and just; Such was the life and character of the man who lies before us; God help us to esteem and bless his memory.
