The death, occurred on Saturday last of Mrs. F. J. Chisholm, while visiting her daughter at Christchurch. Mrs. Chisholm, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Enoch Tonks, was the wife of Mr. F. J. Chisholm, late Chief Postmaster, Dunedin, and previously Deputy v Chief Wellington. Her family consisted of Messrs. Noel and Keith Chisholm, and Mrs. H. S. Wynn-Parke,^Wellington, and of Mrs. N. McLeod-Smith, of Merivale, Christchurch. ,
Mrs. Chisholm spent most of her life in Wellington. She was a lady of pleasant personality, and her many friends in Wellington, Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, and Palmerston North will regret to hear of her death. •
The funeral'took; place at Karori on Tuesday last, prior to which a short service was held, at Wesley Church, Taranaki Street, conducted by the Rev. Percy Paris, who spoke feelingly of Mrs.' Chisholm's estimable qualities. Mr. H. Temple White presided at the organ. There were many beautiful floral1 tributes, including one from the Trust Board of Wesley Church, of which Mr. Chisholm is a member.
