The many friends of Mrs. Jane Fauvel will regret to hear of her death, which occurred on February 8 after a short illness at the residence of her son, Mr. H. G. Fauvel, Motumaoho, Morrinsville. The late Mrs. Fauvel, who was in her seventy-second year, was born at Lawrence and came to Wellington at an early age with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Enoch Tonks. She was a lifelong member of the Taranaki Street Methodist Church. Of a quiet and retiring nature, the late Mrs. Fauvel was ever willing to lend her assistance to any deserving cause, and her passing will be deeply regretted by a large circle of friends. Mrs. Fauvel is survived by her son, Mr. H. G. Fauvel (Motumaoho), stepdaughter and son, Mrs. G. Sunderland (Masterton), and Mr. A. T. Fauvel (Lower Hutt) respectively, and several grandchildren. Her late husband, Mr. Francis Fauvel, predeceased her eighteen months ago. (Evening Post, 10 February 1936) |
