EMMA LOUISA GITTINGS married William Clegg on the 4th September 1864.

They has 11 children.  Her strength and courage sustained her family. 

She was a widow for 35 years.  She died in Rigby, Idaho.

EMMA LOUISA GITTINS CLEGG was born in Cradley , Herefordshire , England to James Gittings (who was born 27 May 1820 Tring , Hertfordshire , England , he died 11 October 1873 in Wellsville , Cache County , Utah , USA .) and Mary Powell Hadley Gittens (who was born 14 October 1813 Bosbury , Herefordshire , England , she died in Moab , Grand County , Utah , USA , 28 October 1895) .

Emma came to America with her old sister Jane Powell Gittings Longson (who was born 9 April 1839 , Herefordshire , England , and who died 20 November 1896 , Fountain Green , Sanpete County , Utah , USA .)  Her parents and other family members did not come to Utah until about nine years later than the sisters .  

Emma married William Clegg on 4 Sep 1864 in Heber City , Utah .   She was the mother to eleven children .  

Her strength and courage sustained her family .   Emma was a widow for thirty five years .  

She was living in Rigby , Idaho , USA , at the time of her death .

Emma had one other sister : Hannah Gittins Somerville , (who was born 23 December 1840 in Cradley , Herefordshire , England and who who died 16 April 1918 in Moab , Grand County , Utah , USA ,) and a brother : James Gittins (who was born 24 Februaury 1843 in Cradley , Herefordshire , England and who died 27 September 1887 in Smithfield , Cache County , Utah , USA .)
