Emma Flood dies August 16
Emma A. Flood, 88, of East Peoria, formerly of Sigel, died at 10:30 p.m. Sunday. August 16, 1998, at Manorcare at Riverview in East Peoria.
Mrs. Flood was born July 2, 1910, in Sigel, the daughter of Joseph and Cecelia (Will) Deters. She married Earl Flood May 6, 1933, in Sigel. He survives.
She was a homemaker; a member of St Michael's Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America, and St. Michael's Council of Catholic Women.
Surviving besides her husband are three daughters, Mrs. Rudy (Elizabeth) Rettig of Monee, Mrs. Anthony (Kathleen) Paukslis of Orange, California, USA, Mrs. Joseph (Dorothy) Crawford of East Peoria; two sisters Eleanor Fearday of Sigel, Mildred Licata of Port Richey, Florida; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with a 4:30 p.m. C.D. of A. rosary and a 5:30 p.m. parish wake. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 21, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Sigel with burial in the parish cemetery.
