Earl Flood dies at age 93

. Earl T. Flood, 93, of East Peoria, formerly of Sigel, died at 5:20 a.m. Wednesday, July 25; 2001, at Manor Care at Riverview in East Peoria.

Mr. Flood was born July 2, 1908, in Jewett, the son of John and Rebecca (Mulquin) Flood. He married Emma E. Deters May 6, 1933. She died in 1998.

He was a tool research engineer for International Harvester; a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Sigel, Effingham Knights of Columbus Council #665 and the Fourth Degree.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Rudy (Elizabeth) Rettig of Monee, Mrs. Anthony (Kathleen) Paukstis of Orange, California, USA, Mrs. Joseph (Dorothy) Crawford of East Peoria; 11 grandchildren and 26great-grandchildren.

Beside his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one son, three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Sigel with burial in the parish cemetery. Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with a6 p.m. parish wake service and a7p.m.Knights of Columbus rosary with Fourth Degree services immediately following.
