About Emma Lee Gibbs
Emma Lee Gibbs of 1062 NE 20th Ave. died Sunday at North Florida Special Care Center. She was 82.
A native of Whiteville, N.C., Mrs. Gibbs moved to Gainesville from Bradenton in 1963. She was a homemaker and a member of Highlands Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Gibbs was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter No. 44 and the Woodmen of the World.
Survivors include four daughters, Juanita Ivey of Richland, Ga., Myrtle Von Dohlen of Isles of Palms, S.C., Elease Lindsey of Gainesville and Carol Heath of Fayetteville, Ga.; two sons, Jack and Gene Gibbs, both of Atlanta; four brothers, Dennis Benton, Mayo Benton and Virgil Benton, all of Claxton, Ga., and Van Benton of Savannah, Ga.; two sisters, Lula Jordan of Macon, Ga., and Elsie McNeal of Claxton; 21 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
