Emma Louise Lonsdale

Emma has been skiing since the age of 2 and became a member of Kendal Snowsports club not long after.

After competing in Alpine for 16 years she switched to Freestyle Skiing, where she tried out various different disciplines including moguls, aerials and a skicross before deciding that halfpipe was the sport for her.

Sochi 2014 will mark her Winter Olympic debut.

Emma has worked as a lifeguard at Settle Area Swimming Pool and as part of the bar staff at a pub in Settle, England. (Facebook profile, 03 Jan 2014)
