About Engelbertha Stroebele
Engelbertha Krupp Stroebele immigrated to Jersey City, New Jersey, on 27 Mar 1883, with her three children John J. Jr., Adolph T., and Otto W. Stroebele. She was banished and disinherited from Germany's Krupp dynasty of Essen for marrying her husband, a poor, Catholic shoemaker named John Joseph Stroebel. Together, they were the genesis for creating over 300 Stroebele children, grand children, great-grand children and great-great grandchildren in New Jersey, New York, California, Florida, North Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Washington State and Australia.
