Enid Erica (Bowker) Armstrong 1920 - 1966

Enid Erica Bowker enlisted on the 23rd January, 1941 in Women's Auxiliary Air Force (No. F262836) and when she was discharged on the 24th February, 1946, had attained the rank of Captain. Her moves were confined to the Union, for which she received the War Medal (1939/45) and the Africa Service Medal.
About 1950 she married William Armstrong, a member of the staff of one of the Johannesburg Branches of Barclays, Bank D. C. & 0, There were no children but Trevor was adopted before the marriage ended in divorce.
