HALLEY

From Nevada Representative January 5, 1881

A Canvass in Part of Indian Creek and Nevada Townships.

MR. EDITOR:--

Called at Mr. Enoch Halley's, an Ohio acquaintance of 45 years standing. Always found him kind and obliging. Mr. H. is in very poor health.

P.S. Since my visit at Mr. Halley's as hinted above, Mr. Halley has left for the Spirit Land. Death has chosen Enoch for his own. A good citizen, an honorable man, a kind friend, has left us! Except Mr. Halley's own family and brother, I presume I have known him for a longer term of years than any other one in Story county has known him.
