About Ens. Moses Wheeler
https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=29500383
He was in some of the fiercest encounters in the French and Indian Wars, and held the rank of Ensign. He participated in the celebrated defense of Charlestown under Captain Stevens, 4 April 1747 and was with Hobbs in his encounter with Sackett. A very large man, though of good proportions, he was said to have been the strongest man in the cordon of forts protecting the frontier. Having been detailed with five others to take a small cansion to the top of Hoosac Mountain, while the others were discussing the means to carry out instructions, Wheeler swung the gun onto his shoulder, and bore it to the assigned place, pausing once only on the way."
