He married Sarah (Browne) Jacob on 21 Dec 1671 in Ipswich, Essex, Massachusetts. he is the father of Mary (Jacobs) Tilton, Sarah (Jacobs) Chase, Abigail (Jacobs) Brown and Mercy (Jacob) Fowler. Thomas died before 17 Mar 1707 in Ipswich, Essex, Massachusetts Bay
Thomas Jacob was born about 1641 in Ipswich, Massachusetts Bay[1] where he married Sarah Browne in 1671.[2][3] She died in Ipswich January 29, 1679.[4] Sometime before the birth of daughter Abigail in 1682, Thomas married for his second wife, Mary whose surname is unknown.[1] She predeceased him, but her death date is unknown.[5]
Like his father, Thomas was active in civic affairs. He became a Freeman on August 27, 1674.[6] He served on juries, including the last witchcraft trial in Salem in January 1692/3. He did militia duty in 1683 and served as a tithingman.[5]
Thomas Jacob's will was written December 3, 1706 and proved March 17, 1707. He named daughters Martha and Abigail executrices.[7]

The surname of Thomas' second wife is unknown; it is not Mary Whipple-638 who was married to Thomas' brother;[13] she has been detached as wife and mother.
