Biography
Ephraim Holmes, son of Joseph Holmes and his wife Mary Brewster was born at Plymouth, Massachusetts, March 14, 1699/1700. He died at Kingston, Massachusetts, November 10, 1780.[1]
Ephraim married Sarah Tilden, January 31, 1734, at Kingston, Massachusetts. She was a daughter of Samuel and Sarah (Curtis) Tilden. Sarah (Tilden) Holmes was named in her father's will dated January 11, 1739/40. Ephraim and Sarah's known children were:[1]

Ephraim Holmes' will, dated July 2, 1778, and proved December 4, 1780, mentioned his sons, Ephraim and Levi, and daughter Sarah, wife of David Carver.[1]
