About Ephraim Hubbard, Sr.
Ephraim Hubbard, Sr. married Ruth Gates, the daughter of Isaac Gates and Elizabeth (Merriam) Farrar, in Rutland, Massachusetts c. 1739. His second marriage was on June 6, 1744 to Sarah Billings.
He became a soldier in the American Revolutionary War in 1779, joining the Worcester Regiment.
From his father Samuel's will, Ephraim received half of his father's "weaving apparrel" and "fifty pounds money according to old Tenour." Ephraim's daughter also received "the sum of ten pounds according to old Tenour in Bills of publick Credit" to be given "if she arrive to the age of eighteen years."
