Vital Information
Samuel Hubbard was born on April 27, 1687 in Concord, Massachusetts and died testate there on December 12, 1753. He married Sarah Clark (July 13, 1681-July 25, 1720) of Concord on January 15, 1701. His second wife was Prudence Temple.
Based on what he willed to his son Ephraim, he may have been a weaver.
His will was presented to the Court on January 28, 1754 by Isaac Hubbard, the executor. The witnesses were Jonas Haywood and Ephraim Wood, Jr.
His grave can still be seen as Old Hill Burying Ground in Concord, with the inscription:
Here lyes the body of Mr. Samuel Hubbard, who departed this life December ye 12th 1753 aged 66 years & 8 months
He should not be confused with his son Lt. Samuel Hubbard.
