About Ephraim Wildes

Ephraim Wildes (1665 - 1725), son of John Wildes (1618 - 1705) and Sarah Averill (c1627 - 1692), was born about 1 December 1665 at Topsfield, Essex County, Massachusetts; he died at the age of 59 on 2 April 1725 at Topsfield, Essex County, Massachusetts. He married Mary Howlett (1672 - 1758), daughter of Deacon Samuel Howlett and Sarah Clarke; they had three known children.

Marriage and Children

Ephraim Wildes married Mary Howlett (17 February 1672 Topsfield, Essex County, Massachusetts - 17 May 1758 Topsfield, Essex County, Massachusetts). Their children were:

  1. John Wildes (1690 - 1760)
  2. Mary Wildes (1692 - 1742)
  3. Jacob Wildes

On 9 Apr. 1690 John Wild, carpenter, transferred to his son Ephraim his possessions as follows:

"In consideration of seven years service that I had of him when he could have been for himself, I hereby transfer to my son Ephraim Wild all my housing, lands and meadows together with all my stock of cattle, sheep, swine, carts, ploughs, household stuff of all sorts and kinds whatforever."
