About Erma Marie (Rogers) Norris
Mother (Erma) always loved school and was allowed to go back to the 8th grade the second time 'cause she loved school so much. It was always her desire to attend High School but due to circumstances, she moved from home, got a job and then later married. After her children were born, she still had that desire to go to High School. So when I (Doris) started High School in 1961, she started with me. She attended class just like I did. We graduated together in 1965. She was always very proud to have been able to go to high school and receive her diploma. She felt it was a real accomplishment. We were all proud of Mother for following her dream.
She was a hard worker whether it be at home with her family, a pastor's wife, her church or her job. She said before she passed away that if she had a theme for her service it would be...."She hath done all she could." She felt she had lived a full rewarding life and was happy with her accomplishments.
