Edith Stanciu Donohue

Edith (Mariconi) Stanciu Donohue, age 27, was killed in a train/car crash at Naylors Crossing, near Beloit, OH. Also killed was her brother-in-law, Harvey Donohue, 21, who was driving the stalled car, and her son, George Stanciu, age 3.

On the census of 1 Apr 1930 at Alliance, Stark Co., OH; Edith's mother, Louise, 43, is living with her 2nd husband, Anible Serocki. With them are their daughters, Florence, 7, and Joanna, 5 and Louise's children from her marriage to Frank Mariconi: Peter, 21; Elizabeth, 19; Amelia, 15; William, 12, and Frank, 11.

She married (1.) a Mr. Stanciu circa 1933 and was widowed on 13 Mar 1937. Born of this union was 1 son, George circa 1937.

She married (2.) Eddie Ellsworth Donohue on 19 Dec 1937 at Mahoning Co., OH., b. b 4 Aug 1910, d. 11 Sep 1968, the son of Reuben and Della Donohue.
