Ernest T. "Ernie" Deremiah, 58, died May 8, 1985 at Kirby Hospital. Services will be held at Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with masonic rites accorded.
He was born Mar 16, 1927 at Alton, s/o Charles W. and Gertrude Belle Deremiah. He married Suzette M. Regnier on Feb 2, 1946 at Hammond IN; she died Oct 21, 1979. He married Norma Jean Hacker on June 14, 1980 at Monticello; she survives.
Surviving are five sons: Rick, Gary IN; Mark, Charleston; Ken, Norwich CN; Jack, Camp Lejeune NC; and Bobby at home; three daughters: Chris Ethington, Newburgh IN; Kathy Riley, White Heath; and Pate Deremiah, DeLand; 10 grandchildren; two brothers: Arlo Deremiah, St Joseph and Tommie of Thomasboro; and four sisters: Margaret Joos, Peoria; Ella McCormick, Mapleton; LaVerne McJilton, Minocqua WI; and Mary Belle Dye of Schererville IN; He was preceded in death by a brother, a grandson and a daughter-in-law.
He was a member of the Monticello Christian Church, the Monticello Masonic Lodge and the IBEW 601 at Champaign. He was an electrician for Baldwin and Associates at Clinton Power Plant. He served with the US Navy during WW II. Memorials may be to the Heart Fund or a charity of the donor's choice.
