Witty Rites Held Friday In Seymour
Mrs. R.L. Witty, mother of Grand Prairie resident Ernest F. Lee, passed away Thursday at West Texas Hospital in Lubbock. A long time resident of Seymour, Mrs. Witty was born November 5, 1880 in Kentucky.
The funeral was held at 3 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Seymour, with Rev. W.R. Kalls officiating. Burial was in Henson Cemetery at Seymour.
Survivors include her husband, Mr. R.L. Witty of Lubbock; two sons, Ernest Lee and W.R. Lee, Wichita Falls; a stepson, R.W. Witty of Lubbock. Also two daughters Mrs. Eula Ferrier of Tyler and Mrs. Don Wetegrove of Raymondville, two step daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Cartwright, Lubbock and Mrs. Alice Lee of Wichita Falls.
She is survived by 11 grand children and 14 great grand children.

Ernest F. Lee Passes Suddenly Saturday
Earnest F. Lee, age 58, a resident of 826 Cook Drive of Grand Prarie passed away suddenly Saturday afternoon.
He was a certified public accounts for the firm, Lee and Bryan of Grand Prairie.
A Grand Prairie resident for the past 27 years, Lee was a deacon in the First Baptist Church, past president of the Rotary Club, past Worshipful Master of Sam R. Hamilton masonic Lodge and a past board member on the Grand Praried Independent School District.
A 1931 graduate of Baylor University, Lee was a member of both the Texas and National Society of Certified Public Accountants.
He is survived by his wife, Geneva T. Lee of Grand prairie; three daughters, mrs. M. M. Tompkins, jr., Little Rock, Ark.; Mrs. Mary Ruth Lee and Sara jane, both of Grand Prarie; one brother, W.R. Lee, Wichita Falls, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Alex Ferrier of Tyler, Tex.; Mrs. Adolph Wetegrove, Raymondville, Tex., and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday in the First Baptist Church in Grand Prairie. Interment will follow in Moore memorial Gardens, Arlington. Southland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangemetns.
