John H. is listed as being born in Hartford, CT., and being a farmer. His wife Ellen is a housewife. Her parents are from Canada

He was a wagoner in Co. E, 1st NH volunteers in the Spanish American War

In the 1910 census, he is living in Concord still, but is married to Flossie J. Royce. He is listed as working as a teamster. He is 37. His new wife is 28. She has 1 child.
