About Esther Brown, "Parcells" of Rye
Not mentioned in her father's 1764 will, so Esther must have predeceased him.
This child of Jonathan Daniels accompanied her family as far as Rye, New York, before marrying. The family started in New London Connecticut, went through Colchester, Hartford, Middletown, and apparently Rye, NY, before arriving at its final destination: Woodbridge, New Jersey.
Note about parents and place of birth
Nobody seems to be able to find a "Parcells" family, but this could well be a transcription error. Perhaps the family name is "Daniels". "Daniels" was sometimes spelled "Dannells", which would look similar in script. We've seen a similar issue for "Welles" on another sister.
DNA seemingly links a descendant of Esther with the Daniels family of New London, and later Hartford and Middletown. While it is possible that another link will be found, this is the best available for now.
The only thing that gives me pause is the distance from Middletown. However, several Daniels children, possible siblings of Esther, journeyed south at this time, and it's entirely reasonable that Esther accompanied them.
