Esther Henley

Esther was smart, talented, musical, witty, beautiful - inside and out - and much loved. After four years she is still sadly missed by her children, grandchildren, sister, extended family and friends. She was a devoted wife for 43 years, who gave up everything to support her husband in raising a family, forging a career both in the UK and abroad, living in Singapore and Australia where, on account of her warmth and hospitality, together they built lifelong friendships. For many years she volunteered to help those in society who were vulnerable and marginalised, including the elderly and those with mental health issues. In a tragic twist of fate it was mental health issues that claimed her life. Those that had the pleasure to know her were richer as a result. Those that seek to taint her memory should be ashamed, especially those that never knew her. She was a better person than they ever will be.
