Esther E Light

Esther E. (Gingrich) Light, 95, died Tuesday, May 31, 2011 in Cedar Haven. She was the wife of the late Rufus Light. She was born in Lebanon on May 28, 1916, daughter of the late Cyrus and Kate M. Geeseman Gingrich. Esther was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church, 1300 Maple St., Lebanon and a lifetime member of the Lebanon VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Esther enjoyed knitting, reading, cooking, gardening and collecting antiques. She is survived by her sons, George H. Snyder Jr. and his wife Alice, Lebanon, Lester L. Snyder, Lebanon; seven grandchildren, Georgianne, Linda, Cathy, George III, Jennifer, Esther, Evie; five great-grandchildren; nieces, Katherine "Kitty" Holseberg, Edith Bleichart; and nephew William Gingrich. She was preceded in death by her son, Lynford W. Light; three brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon, where a viewing will be held at 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be made in Kochenderfer's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be to her church. Published in Lebanon Daily News on June 3, 2011
