The Amsterdam Sephardi community found it difficult to cope with the influx of destitute former New Christians, and people were paid to move elsewhere. Aaron arrive in London in 1714. He wrote the first book published by the London Spanish & Portugese Congregation, a translation of part of the Shukhan Aruch.
