Ethel May Francis

Ethel (ettie) Is the Great Great Grand daughter of Samuel Pickett Convict(Charlotte 1788) and Mary Thompson convict (Lady Juliana 1790), also Great Great Grand daughter of Samuel(marine Barwell) and Margaret Beechey. The family Bible bought by William Henry Beechey in about 1856 and there in records the Birth of their Son Edward James Beechey His Daughter Ethel (Ettie) and later generations of the family Ethel (Ettie) May Beechey born Scottsdale 1907 died 1st July 1937. Married Henry Arthur Francis 12th November 1925 at Holy trinity church Hobart Their only son Edward Joseph Francis born 28th May 1926 at Cradoc. Ted died 9th March 1974. In the early 1930s Ethel (Ettie) became ill and her son Edward went to live with his Grand parents Edward James and Ethel Evelyn May Beechey in 1933, where he attended Cygnet Primary School till the age of 12 reaching year V11 though he didnt pass the last tests

Ethel (Ettie) with her parents were involved in many facets of the running of St Peters church from teaching at Sunday School/ playing the organ and fundraising
