Ethel Mary Becher

Ethel Mary Becher was born in 1875 in Kensington, London, the daughter of Herbert Evan Becher and his wife Marian. Her three sisters were also born in England in 1877, 1883 and 1890.

After this date, the family must have returned to South Africa, but I do not know for how long.

On the Gaul, arriving in England from South Africa 29 June 1896 Herbert Becher, Marrion Becher, Miss E Becher and Miss M Becher.

On the 18th July 1903 at Saint Peter, Notting Hill, Ethel married Walter Ashlin Cutforth 11874-1906]. Unfortunately, they were married for just under three years, before Walter died.

I have not located a death for Ethel, but both her parents and at least 2 of her sisters died in South Africa.
