The funeral of the late Mrs. John Mitchell (nee Miss Ethel Drage), of Yallalong station, Lower Murchison, took place on the 15th inst. Death occurred on the previous day, at Geraldton, and the remains were brought to Northampton for interment in the Church of England Cemetery. Mr Valey, lay-reader, conducted the service. Many friends of the deceased from Geraldton came by the train, and a large concourse of people awaited the ar-rival at the railway station, and followed the cortege to the cemeterv. Several mem-bers of the two families had been to Geraldton during the previous week, when it was known that the illness was serious. The deceased lady was 22 years of age, and leaves two young children.

MITCHELL.— At the Railway Hotel, Geraldton, on the 14th September, Ethel Blanche, dearly beloved wife of John Clayton Mitchell, of Yallalong, aged 22 years. Deeply regretted.
