Frankie Eugenia (Melton) Sandhop, 79, of Victoria, died Sunday, Dec., 3, 2000. She was born Jan. 21, 1921, in Paris, Texas, to the late Luther Samuel and Josephine (Smith) Melton. She was a retired secretary and manager at Dion Holm Securities; she was a Lutheran.

Survivors include a son, James Roy Savage of Houston; sisters, Mary Jo Hill of Houston and Marie Johnson of Baytown; brother, Edgar Melton of Chicago, Ill.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Buck" Sandhop; her parents; brothers, Luther Melton Jr. and Joe Leroy Melton.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel, the Rev. John Waak officiating.
