Eugene Franklin

Eugene Franklin, age 100 of Sevierville, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016.

He was a member Grace Baptist Church and American Legion Post 104. Eugene was a veteran of World War II where he served in the U.S. Coast Guard and later retired from the State Hwy Dept. After retirement, he served in the floral industry for 36 years and was always the best delivery person in the industry.

He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Eula Franklin; sons, Dewey Franklin, Ronnie Franklin, Billy Franklin; son-in-law, Fred McClure; grandchild, Robin Franklin Jeffers; brother, Robert M. Franklin; sister, Iona Webb

Survivors include:
Wife: Bobbie Franklin
Sons: Hal Franklin and wife Gertie, Bud Franklin and wife Debbie, Bobby Franklin, J. Harold Franklin and wife Brenda
Daughters: Jean McClure, Shirley Cline, Kay Arwood and husband Tony
Step-daughters: Linda Drinnon, Patsy Humphrey
Several Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, Great-Great-Grandchildren
Brothers: Jim Franklin and Herbert Franklin
Special friend/daughter: Clarice Duggan
Special nurse: Gail Bowman

Funeral service 3 PM Saturday, April 23rd in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Maples, Rev. Sam Hayes and Rev. Carlos Chapman officiating. Interment 2 PM Sunday at Providence Cemetery with military honors provided by American Legion Post #104. The family will receive friends1-3 PM Saturday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
