About Eugene Wray Worden
Eugene Wray Worden, 75, of Higginsville, Mo., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 13, 2014.
Wray was born August 19, 1938, in Dallas, Texas, the son of Eugene Thomas and Mary Veazey (Barrow) Worden. He married his childhood sweetheart, Mary Elizabeth Whiting, on September 8, 1956. He loved his country and served 6 years in the U.S. Navy, 2 years active and 4 years reserve. He worked for over 30 years at Armco Steel, retiring as Electrical Foreman. Wray was also co-owner of Galaxy Electrical Enterprises and owner of Hughes Electric. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner. He enjoyed spending time with his family & friends. Wray was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Crystal Lynn Hayes; and daughter, Kimbra Lynn Cicle.
His survivors include his wife of 57 years, Mary Elizabeth Worden; two daughters, Julia Marie Howard (Verne) and Denise Wray Allegri (Timothy); eight grandchildren, Amber Elizabeth Wrinkle (Daniel), Luke Michael Allegri, Anna MaryCatherine Miller (Miles), Abra Grace Allegri, Kira Lynn Cicle, Andrew Thomas Wray Cicle, Russell Verne Howard III (Rochelle), and Jonathan Glynn Howard (Samantha); four great-grandchildren, Griffin Wray Wrinkle, Stella Mae Howard, Cora Grace Howard, and Caden Russell Howard; and sister, Mary Veazey Osborne.
Contributions may be made in Wray's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Ararat Shrine Hospital for Children.
