Niece Joan wrote: "... She developed epilepsy in her teens and was under treatment ... all her life... Before he died, grandpa deLaura asked Aunt Alene to take responsibility for Jennie's care.

"Jennie lived some years in her sister Mary's house... Later, when Mary became older, Mary's son Bobby and wife Martha cared for her... Jennie was a good baby sitter for their daughter Michele [?]. Aunt Alene provided the money for her care.

"One evening Jennie became ill and crawled up the stairs to Bobby and Martha's bedroom crying in pain saying, 'I'm going to die'. Martha held her and comforted her ... Jennie died in Martha's arms... She was 76. I remember Aunt Jennie as a quiet and sweet lady."
