Victorino's baptism record states his birth as 4 Sep 1878, 4 p.m., and that his parents were churchgoers in the parish of Santo Espirito, Santa Maria island, Azores.
In a WWI Registration card, Victor printed his birthdate as "September 4, 1878".
In the April 15,1910 census of West Bridgewater, Victor reports he is 31 years old, that he immigrated into the US in 1904. His wife Emilia and oldest son Louis immigrated in 1907.
A 1920 census shows the Victor C "Laura" family living in a rented house on Charles St, West Bridgewater, Mass. Victor is 41 years and working as a "treer" in a shoe factory. He immigrated in 1904. He and both of his parents were born in Portugal. Victor's wife is "Emma C". She's 39 and cannot read or write English. She and both her parents were also born in Portugal.
The children in this1920 census are --
Louis C, 15, born in Portugal. Louis immigrated in 1905 with his mother. Twins Mary A and Lena [Alene] A, are both 11. Mary, Lena, and all youger children were born in Mass. Jennie H is 10; John M is 9; "Flossie" [Florence] M, 5; Anna, 3 years and 9 months; and Lillian I, 9 months.
In the 1930 census, Victor is 50 years old. He married at age 21, and he is now a widower. He owns his house at 28 Union St, Easton, Mass. He again is working as a "treer" in a shoe factory. Living with him in 1930 are Lena A, 22; Mary A, 22; John M, 19; Florence A, 15; Anna I, 13; and Lillian I, 11. Mary is working as a clerk in a market; John was working as a sorter in a shoe factory.
