Her Husband's Testament Dative

The Testament Dative and Inventory of the deceased George Bruce, portioner of Coupar Angus, was given up William Monson of Naughtan, merchant in Dundee, and Patrick Skeen, tenant in Grange of Overbothy, who were recognised as his executors dative qua creditors by the Commissary Court of Dunkeld in respect of victual purchased by him. The total amount of money owed by George Bruce was one hundred and forty-three pounds, six shillings and eight pence, and his moveable goods were rouped and sold in order to recover this. The property sold Included : "an old timber bed stead with three pair of old bed blankets" and "a pair of sheets" and a "bolster" which was sold to: "Eupham Robertson the relict" for three pounds ten shillings. Confirmation was granted to the executor creditors on 18 August 1748.
