About Eva Loetta Sanderson

OKANOGAN _ Eva Loetta Sanderson, 89, of Okanogan, died Sunday, June 28, 1992, in the Valley Care Center at Okanogan.

She was born Sept. 10, 1902, to Alfred and Sarah Sadie (Sanderson) Dicus in the Big Bend country. Her parents were pioneer homesteaders in the Pateros and Alta Lake areas when she was a small girl. Her father drove a freight wagon and stage to Winthrop. She graduated from Pateros schools and lived most of her life at Pateros.

She married Ed J. Carey on Aug. 28, 1931, at Spokane. He died in 1946.

She married Kenneth L. Sanderson in 1953 at Pateros.

Mrs. Sanderson was a member of the Pateros Rebekah Lodge, the Ground Observer Corps and Pateros United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Louise Wilson of Spokane and Carol Suzanne Kay Marsh of Omak; two brothers, Whitey Dicus of Tonasket and Frank Dicus of Wenatchee; a sister, Jessie Lawless of Beltsville, Md.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
