Babtised in Knife River, MN she became active in St. Peter's Lutheran church, sang in the church, for 40 years. Helping in bake sales with her famous brown bread and helping those in need in ladies aid. Favorite scripture was 2 Cor. 5:6-8. Joined in Skits and part of the Historic Society. Writer. Lived near Clinton. Her husband's name was Melvin Simmons. She met him while attending nursing school. He raised cows. Their children were Philip, Paul and Richard Simmons.
She was Grandmother to Skye and Saara, Paul and Nancy's Korean adopted kids and Christopher, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Kevin and Melissa, Richard and Claudia's kids. Great grandchildren, Brandon, Angelina, Tyler, Katelynn and Savannah. She adored children.
