Evelyn G. Bass, nee DeYoung, age 90, joined the Lord and many loved ones on December 13, 2011. She is survived by three daughters: Bonnie Bass Parker, Elizabeth(John) Douville, and Kelly(Carl) Brown; two sons: Jeff(Linda) Bass and Bill(Lois) Bass; Grandchildren: Aaron Bass, Shauna Bass, Alexandria Bass ,Dylan E. Bass and Elisia Douville; Sister: Kathy(John) Vinke; Brothers: Peter DeYoung, Jack(Ellen) DeYoung and James(Cathy) DeYoung. Preceded in death by her husband Joseph E. Bass, a son Joseph Barry Bass, and a brother Teddy DeYoung. Visitation, Saturday, December 17, 2011 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at the Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home 649 E. 162nd St. (Rt.6/159th St.) South Holland, IL. Interment, Oak Ridge Cemetery – Lansing, IL. Evelyn was a W.W. II U.S Coast Guard SPAR Veteran.
