1920 Census - Evelyn (age 15) was living at 1005 Hague Avenue with her father, Henry, her mother, Elizabeth, her sisters, Marie - 29, Eleanor - 27, Marguertie - 17, brothers, Lionel - 11, and Jack - 8. Her father was a soft drink salesman.

1930 Census: Evelyn (age 25) was living with her older sister, Marguerite Redmond at Selby and Hague. She was divorced from Mr. Hoffman and had three children: Jack - 7, Audrey - 6, and Elizabeth - 4. Her brother, Jack Gruber was also living with them. Evelyn was supporting her children through work as a seamstress.
