PLEASE NOTE:

There is, in my humble opinion, strong doubt as to the accuracy of the the GISA record above, specifically with respect to his marriage to Susanna Maria Marthina Scott.

Firstly, according to the GISA reference (SAF CD Vol. 19), she married Evert Petrus Kleynhans (b3c2d8) on 13 March 1854 (see page 437); then married Evert Philip Kleynhans (b4c1d1) only one month later, on 18 April 1854 (see page 447). But then her first child (Willem Marthinus) is born in Dec 1854 - and the father is non other than Evert Petrus Kleynhans (b3c2d8) again (see page 437). Most improbable, I would argue. I believe a much more plausible explanation is that GISA got in wrong and that the second marriage (with Evert Philip Kleynhans b4c1d1) never took place.

Secondly, according to the GISA reference (SAF CD Vol. 19, p.437), Johannes Adolph Kleynhans (b3c2d8e7) is born to Evert Petrus Kleynhans (b3c2d8) and Susanna Maria Marthina Scott on 3 May 1859. On p. 451 of the same reference, another son also named Johannes Adolph Kleynhans (b4c1d1e6) is born to Evert Philip (b4c1d1) and Susanna Maria Marthina in circa 1860. It is in my opinion, far more plausible that GISA's Johannes Adolph b4c1d1e6 is in fact the same as their Johannes Adolph b3c2d8e7.
