1886 Eva graduated from Ripley Union School in Ohio

             Attended Adrian College in MI & met future husband O.D. Porter 1892     Lowry family moved from Ripley, OH to Chicago, where Evoline & brother Charles Lowry taught school (mother Rebekah lived with Charles' family)  (M.K. Siebert)

ca 1894 Evoline married O.D. Porter in Chicago and moved to Waterville, WA ca 1904 They traveled to Wisconsin but children got diphtheria so returned to WA

1907 Moved to old Porter farm near Blissfield, MI; Grandma Lowry (Rebekah) traveled with them by train. Children included Sam, Elly, Lowry, & Jim. The children had scarlet fever. Aunt Lucy Lowry Conn visited from Superior, NE to help care for children.

Evoline's mother Rebekah Goodrich Lowry traveled from Chicago to Waterville, WA for birth of each grandchild & also with them on their move back to MI (as far as Chicago)
