Children of Ezekiel Veazey and Elizabeth Lee Veazey are:

Eziekiel was married to Elizabeth Lee Veasey, his second (I think) cousin. Her father was the son of James E. Veasey and Mary Mercer, and brother to Eziekiel's father James. I just haven't figured how to make that connection on this tree.

Will (dated 1834) lists "my four children- William J., John H., Luton A. Googer, and Allason E. (Greene Co., GA Book F, page 223.) 4 3

(57) EZEKIEL VEASEY, son of JAMES VEAZEY (15) AND ELIZABETH

HOLLINGSWORTH, was born 11MAY 1759 at CECIL COUNTY, MARYLAND. He married ELIZABETH VEAZEY (42), daughter of EDWARD VEAZEY (13) and his wife, ANN. EZEKIEL died 29 DEC 1837 at WHITE PLAINS, GEORGIA.

Prior information gathered from other sources on this family group was confirmed in 1993 through the discovery of the "Little Fertilizer Book." Not only was his birth and marriage listed, but the names and birthdates for all of his children. Ezekiel is shown in Greene County History as receiving a Headright grant of 50 acres in 1790.

Children (VEAZEY) by ELIZABETH VEAZEY (42):

156. i. FRANSIA VEAZEY, b. 4 OCT 1781, d. 14 MAY 1815 157. ii. WILLIAM JAMES VEAZEY, b. 22 SEPT 1786, d. at DESOTO COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI 158. iii. JOHN H. VEAZEY, b. 8 DEC 1788, d. near PENFIELD. Because he died at Penfield, he does not appear to be the John H. (Henry or Hart)Veazey, Father of Zachery Taylor Veazey of Alabama. 159. iv. MATILDA H. VEAZEY, b. 21 AUG 1771, d about 1748. Matilda never married. 160. v. JULIA A. VEAZEY, b. 23 SEP 1793. She married STEPHEN GOOGER as shown in "Little Fertilizer Book." 161. vi. ALANSON E. VEAZEY, b. 25 Jun 1800, d. about 1863 at HEARD. He married MARIAH MCGIBONEY 8 MAR 1827 at GREEN COUNTY, GEORGIA.

The "Little Fertilizer Book" shows that ALANSON left several daughters:

The two oldest were Mrs. W.W. Moore and Mrs. James B. Askew. He was married to his second wife, MARIAH MCGIBONY Little Book. The second marriage is shown in LDS records.

(157) WILLIAM JAMES VEASEY, son of EZEKIEL VEAZEY (57) and ELIZABETH VEAZEY (42), was born 22 SEP 1786. He married HANNAH SIMMONS about 1811 in GEORGIA. William died at DESOTO COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI. This information was documented in the "Little Fertilizer Book." He was known to have migrated to Mississipppi. Family history sent to me by Dr. Ethelyn Smith of Senatobia, Mississippi, written by Janice Barnett Craft in May 1992, begins with William James Veazey, thought to be the grandson of James and Elizabeth Hollingsworth Johnson Veazey. The information sent to me by Hleanor Miller Mayfarth corroborates thjat previously received.

415. i. FEREBY T. VEAZEY, b. about 1812 in either GEORGIA or ALABAMA. She married CHARLES CARTER.
