Ezell Mullinax, Sr.

Gaffney, S.C. - Ezell Mullinax, Sr., 82, of 501 Hetty Hill Street, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 10, 2014 at his residence.

Born in York, he was the husband of Mary Emily Ballard Mullinax for 61 years, and was the son of the late Ace Mullinax and Annie Mae Childers Mullinax.

Mr. Mullinax retired from Southern Loom & Reed, loved to fish, garden and play horseshoes, loved Nascar, and was a member of Draytonville Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Ezell Mullinax, Jr. and wife, Kathy, Carl Mullinax and wife, Loretta, and David Mullinax and wife, Candy, all of Gaffney; a daughter, Mary Sue Rollins and husband, Ricky, of Gaffney; four sisters, Marie Mullinax, Fronie Turner, Mandy Parker, all of Gaffney and Virgie Dreher of Columbia; six grandchildren, Chris Rollins and wife, Mary Ann, Michael Rollins, Tabitha Parker and husband, Eric, Amber Mullinax, Carla Mullinax and Holton Guyton; six great-grandchildren, Courtney Rollins, Tyler Rollins, Blake Rollins, Wesley Parker, Tristen Moss and Jonathan Moss.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Gene Mullinax, Edford Mullinax and Clarence Mullinax.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Blakely Funeral Home. Graveside services will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. at Frederick Memorial Gardens with Dr. Keith Harrill officiating.
