- Fannie Markbreit was the sister of the Mayor of Cincinnati who was a close associate of US Pres. Rutherford B. Hayes. Hayes was, before his presidency, the Gov. of Ohio.
It is interesting to note that Fannie's husband was a widower of Charlotte Kautz (Tod) whose father, like Rutherford Hayes, became Gov. of Ohio.
