He married the former Ruby Allison on Nov. 24, 1941.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Mae Walden; a son, Travis Gary Walden; three brothers, Willie, James and Stan Walden; and a sister, Lula Allison.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Doris and James Skidmore of Broken Arrow; two grandsons, Todd Skidmore and Daniel Skidmore, both of Tulsa; a granddaughter and her husband, Jill and Eric Marshall of Tulsa; three sisters, Beulah Nobles of Heavener, Zula Garland of Poteau and Juanita Ward of LeFlore; one brother, Harvey Walden of LeFlore
