About Felix Gaspar Fernandez
Felix Gaspar Fernandez (born: Felix António Aleixo Fernandes) had a passion for growing roses. He relaxed while pruning and tending his rose plants. Such was his love for roses, Felix created perfect roses which bagged several awards at the Bombay Rose Society Shows. Fernandez is the man behind the creation of the Gladiator - that vibrant red rose that is the main stay of the flower market and also loved by the masses.
He served in the Indian Navy during World War 2
He maintained a fixed schedule of regular walks, church, listening gospel music, tended to his nursery and indulged in a peg of whiskey.
